The establishment of board and operational policies for the Clearwater River Dene Nation Economic Development Corporation has been facilitated by the IMS. Bigstone Cree Nation

IMS provided assistance in the negotiation of several joint venture agreements for Bigstone Cree Nation, which resulted in the establishment of several successful business ventures. These ventures included a Camp and Catering company, the operation of a Gas Station, and the acquisition of logging parcels for their Logging Company. The establishment of these business ventures played an integral role in the socio-economic development of Bigstone Cree Nation, providing valuable employment opportunities and contributing to the overall prosperity of the community. The successful negotiation of these joint venture agreements is a testament to the skill and foresight of the parties involved and serves as an example of the positive outcomes that can be achieved through collaborative efforts.

PROGRAM SERVICE AND DELIVERY

Paul First Nation

IMS (Indigenous Management Solutions) played a vital role in assisting Paul First Nation in terminating an 18-year Co-Management contract with Indigenous Services Canada. IMS’s involvement led to the successful implementation of a comprehensive reorganization and recovery plan for the Nation, resulting in significant savings of over $330,000 in administration fees during the first year of engagement. This remarkable achievement showcases IMS’s commitment to providing effective and efficient services to its clients. By leveraging its expertise and experience, IMS helped Paul First Nation to navigate the complexities of the termination process and achieve a positive outcome while minimizing the financial impact on the community. This project serves as an excellent example of how IMS’s collaborative approach can make a meaningful difference to the clients it serves.

PROGRAM SERVICE AND DELIVERY

Western Cree Tribal Council

IMS’s efforts to recover outstanding reports proved to be successful in convincing Indigenous Services Canada to release more than $1M owed to the Western Cree Tribal Council. Although Indigenous Services Canada has the authority to reject requests, the council was able to receive the funds owed to them due to IMS’s diligent work.

COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE

Duncans’ First Nation

IMS was responsible for overseeing the construction and fit-up of a new administration building worth $4.5 million for Duncans’ First Nation. This project will provide offices that are essential for the Nation’s continued prosperity and will also help in strengthening friendships and business relationships with the surrounding communities.

First Nation community of Splatsin

IMS has demonstrated its capability to secure grants under the CHMC-RHI program, as evidenced by its successful procurement of a $2.95M grant for the First Nation community of Splatsin.
